When visiting our web pages, our server recognizes the visitor's domain name and IP address, but not their email address. It is a common practice for webmasters to monitor visitors on their website. We also note the visitor's browser type, version, and operating system, among other things. This information is transmitted to our server by each visitor's web browser. This visitor information is used by us to improve the content of our site by identifying the most popular areas of this website. We use Google Analytics to obtain this information for us, and prepare it into informational graphs and tables. Visitors may opt-out here.
Free Resume Creator and Directory
Our creators require that our visitors input their information to generate the documents job seekers need to apply for jobs. There are two modes for using this site, being a free member or a free non-member.
1. Non-members: There are no paying non-members! We do not use the information used to create a resume and other documents on this site for any purpose other than to create the related document. When a visitor uses a creator, all their data are never stored, so when they leave the system, the data are gone. When a visitor enters their information into our program, their information is not stored in our database unless they elect to become a member. The only way for non-members to save their information is to press the Save button on the Preview page in the program. The program generates a file that the visitor will export and store locally on their device.
If the visitor chooses to become a member by creating an account, they may set their resume to be public. Then, excluding their house number, street, and telephone numbers, all information entered into the free resume creator will be viewable by anyone who browses the Resume Directory. If upon joining, the visitor sets their account to be Private, then their resume will not show in the directory. A member who doesn't want a public resume or a member who later changes their mind and no longer wants it to be public can simply log in to their account and change the account to be Private at will. In the interest of helping our members get the highest possible exposure to the job market, internet search engines index our directory. Indexing can make it searchable in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines. If a member wishes to avoid having their resume information made public in our directory, we suggest that they set their resume to be Private. Visitors can make this selection when they join to become a member or later in their Resume Account settings.
If a member no longer wants to use their account, they can delete their account along with their stored information at any time. Two methods can perform this operation. The first method happens when the member logs in and deletes the account themselves. The second method happens when the member emails our support staff and requests that a support agent does it for them.
Children under the age of 18 are required to obtain parental permission before using our system and providing us with their personal information. Parents are required to send us an email explicitly granting their permission before their children can use our services.
Any information we obtain when a visitor submits a comment or survey is only used by us. To understand the opinions the visitor may have concerning our service, we may contact the visitor if they have supplied their email. We will use these opinions to improve the quality of our service. A visitor submits a testimonial with the understanding that it may be used publicly to promote our service.
If a visitor sends us a message through a contact form or via email, their information is only used to send them a reply. We have never engaged in the undesirable practice of email spam; we hold your information in strict confidence. We do not give our users' email addresses or data to outside parties.
